Honoring O.U.R. Mothers for Women’s History Month
Since March 1987, our nation has been honoring the great contributions that women have made to our society and the world. Historically, Women have been overlooked, and their contributions to humankind have gone unsung. In the 21st century, women are still fighting for their rights and equality.
It is the 37th year of Women's History Month! We are celebrating women's accomplishments and contributions. March 1st through March 31st is designated to identify and acknowledge the great contribution women have made to our nation and world.
Let us begin at home, by honoring our mothers!
O.U.R. Mothers are the foundations of their families’ lives and history. They are the strength and wisdom of our communities. They are the cornerstones of the churches. O.U.R. Mothers are the loving, hopeful beacons going forward while connecting us to our ancestors. They forge and mold the generations yet to come. We stand on their shoulders. O.U.R. Mothers have created our legacies. They have nurtured us through generations of hardship with their talents, skills, wisdom, and unconditional love. They have demonstrated God's love.
O.U.R. Mothers are honoring "mothers" in March. The mothers we know and love.
“Honor…your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.”
